Meet the Mentors

Barbara LeGrand Cockrell has been a mentor with Global Publishing, Inc. for well over a decade and has mentored hundreds and hundreds of students and enjoys helping her students get deals and grow their business. She understands her students’ fears, frustrations, insecurities, and life’s adversities because she has lived them herself and learned to be an overcomer. She understands that many people have a big “why” for wanting to invest in real estate and just need a little help. It is more than just acquiring the knowledge of real estate that is needed but also establishing the mental, physical, professional development, and spiritual balance that is necessary to juggle business and life successfully. Barbara is passionate about helping students understand the real estate business so they “get it”! She loves negotiating deals for her students during mentoring and at Global seminars.

After college, she managed an International Actuarial Software Development company for over 20 years of over 7000 employees global and 50 local (while buying and selling real estate part-time). Her management experience during that time included Human Resources (hiring, management, and firing of staff, equal employment opportunity management, organizing all social functions), Finance Resources (decisions of and managing expenses and charitable contributions), Real Estate operations (including selection of a couple office location moves, designing and managing build out of new offices and overseeing construction and move operations), and Information Technology (including management of all computer based applications for staff, usage, and training).

Barbara then got her masters in real estate investing through knowledge and experience of buying and selling millions of dollars in residential and commercial properties and notes, business management, corporate entity structuring and asset protection, multiple income strategies, and information and internet marketing. She became a transaction engineer in wholesale, rehab, owner financing, lease options, subject to, auctions, quiet title cases, and short sale deals. She has managed Ron LeGrand’s real estate investing business and has been trained by many other real estate experts in the field giving her extensive expertise.

In 2008, she saw the need to use less effort to create more sales and bigger profits for her clients and authored a course for selling houses online with marketing expertise. Through this training she collaborated with the experts in Real Estate and Internet Marketing to show how to sell houses fast with less effort.

She had marketed property and developed a website in Belize, Central America where her and her partner had purchased land to develop a low maintenance, solar generated waterfront housing community. She loves her lifetime home environment in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Belize and other tropical environments.

Barbara currently operates a real estate investment and marketing business, is a licensed Realtor, and buys and sells properties in Florida.
